 Construction on the world's largest wildlife crossing begins today. Much safer for cougars and mountain lions. God Bless them. Crews on Friday broke ground on a wildlife crossing over the 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills that is meant to provide mountain lions and other animals a safe route to the Santa Monica Mountains. Billed as the world’s largest wildlife crossing, the bridge will stretch 200 feet over 10 lanes of the busy freeway. When terrorists crashed two hijacked planes into the twin towers of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, they did more than leave 6,000 people either dead or missing. Hundreds of pets either expecting their masters to come home or who were abandoned during the evacuation of various buildings nearby were left to fend for themselves. Tweety Pie was among the lucky 200 animals the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has rescued since the terrorist attacks, and Kathleen Ross, Tweety Pie's owner, considers herself and her cat very blessed.   Ever since my wife started working as a veterinarian assistant, she has had to assist on several euthanasias. The last one the owner had an ultimatum from his girlfriend to get rid of him. A shelter was too far away so he brought him to their hospital. Although they tried to convince him otherwise they put this beautiful baby down.😭These are God’s Creatures with feelings, fears and emotions just like we do and this is just wrong. It upsets God’s plans for them. Jennifer loves working with animals but does not know if she can continue like this.
